Temporary Lane Closures S West Shore Boulevard to begin January 4, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of S West Shore Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, January 4, 2021 for utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be completing relining of the sewer lines on S West Shore Boulevard between W Melrose Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard. Intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures and lane shifts on S West Shore Boulevard between W San Rafael Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will begin at 9 am on January 4, 2021.

One (1) lane of southbound and northbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on S West Shore Boulevard between W Melrose Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays. Left turn movements on S West Shore Boulevard at W San Jose Street will be prohibited during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on S West Shore Boulevard between W Melrose Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Southbound and northbound motorists can use S Lois Avenue/Henderson Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard, in lieu of S West Shore Boulevard.
