Temporary Lane Closures W Cypress Street and N Lois Avenue to begin June 16, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will close from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing communication conduit at the northwest corner of the intersection of W Cypress Street and N Lois Avenue. One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N Hubert Avenue and one (1) southbound lane on N Lois Avenue between W Grace Street and W Cypress Street will close at 9 am on June 16, 2021.

One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N Hubert Avenue and one (1) southbound thru lane on N Lois Avenue between W Grace Street and W Cypress Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N Hubert Avenue and on N Lois Avenue between W Grace Street and W Cypress Street will be open by 4 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
