Temporary Lane Closures W Cypress Street to begin August 12, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, August 12, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and associated electrical conduits on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N Trask Street. One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N Trask Street will close at 9 am beginning on August 12, 2021.

One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N Trask Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk in the work areas will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area with signage.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N Trask Street will be open by 4 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Westbound and eastbound motorists and trucks can use W Kennedy Boulevard or W Boy Scout Boulevard between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard, in lieu of W Cypress Street.
