Temporary Lane Closures W Cypress Street to begin July 13, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and associated electrical conduits on W Cypress Street between N Hubert Avenue and N Manhattan Avenue. One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Hubert Street and N Trask Street will close at 9 am beginning on July 13, 2021.

One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Hubert Street and N Trask Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk in the work areas will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area with signage.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Hubert Street and N Trask Street will be open by 4 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Westbound and eastbound motorists and trucks can use W Kennedy Boulevard or W Boy Scout Boulevard between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard, in lieu of W Cypress Street.
