A portion of W Cypress Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 for building construction. A private contractor will stage a crane to install a sign for the new Whole Foods Market on W Cypress Street between Gramercy Park Lane and N Dale Mabry Highway.
Two (2) westbound lanes on W Cypress Street between Gramercy Park Lane and approximately 100’ east of N Dale Mabry Highway will close at 9 am on June 30, 2021. The two (2) westbound thru lanes and the left turn lane on W Cypress Street at the intersection of N Dale Mabry Highway will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
The sidewalk on the north side W Cypress Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be available on the south side of W Cypress Street at all times.
All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will be open by 4 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Westbound motorists can use W Kennedy Boulevard or W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway, in lieu of W Cypress Street.
Westbound trucks can use W Columbus Drive between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway, in lieu of W Cypress Street.
