A portion of W Cypress Street between Interstate-275 E Frontage Road and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, September 9, 2021 for Soil Investigation. An FDOT contractor will be conducting soil borings on the north and south sides of W Cypress Street near the N Reo Street intersection as part of the Tampa Bay Next Interstate Improvement Program. One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between Interstate-275 E Frontage Road and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp will close at 9 am beginning on September 9, 2021.
One (1) westbound lane and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between Interstate-275 E Frontage Road and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
All lanes on W Cypress Street between Interstate-275 E Frontage Road and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp will be open by 4 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that westbound motorists on W Cypress Street allow more time to drive on W Cypress Street between Interstate-275 E Frontage Road and N Reo Street.
