Temporary Lane Closures on W Tyler Street, W MacInnes Place, and N Ashley Drive that began on August 26th 2019 for Building Construction to be extended

A portion of W Tyler Street between N Ashley Drive and W MacInnes Place, W MacInnes Place between W Tyler Street and W Fortune Street that closed on Monday, August 26, 2019, for building construction to be extended.  A portion of N Ashley Drive between W Fortune Street and E Tyler Street will also close beginning at 9 am on Friday, July 2, 2021.

A private contractor is constructing a Mixed-Use development on the north side of W Tyler Street between N Ashley Drive and W MacInnes Place.

One (1) westbound lane of W Tyler Street between N Ashley Drive and W MacInnes Place and one (1) northbound lane on W MacInnes Place between W Tyler Street and W Fortune Street closed at 9 am on August 26, 2019.

One (1) westbound lane of W Tyler Street between N Ashley Drive and W MacInnes Place and one (1) northbound lane on W MacInnes Place between W Tyler Street and W Fortune Street will be maintained at all times, with delays. 

The southbound right turn lane on N Ashley Drive at W Tyler Street will close at 9 am on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Right turn movements will be allowed on N Ashley Drive at W Tyler Street from the southbound thru lane at all times, with delays.

The sidewalks in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

All lanes on W MacInnes Place and W Fortune Street are scheduled to reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, October 1, 2021, weather permitting. 

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Tyler Street and N Ashley Drive will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
