Temporary Lane Closures West Shore Boulevard and W Kennedy Boulevard to begin January 23, 2022 for Building Maintenance

A portion of West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Azeele Street and W Kennedy Boulevard between S Lois Avenue and S West Shore Boulevard will close from 6 am to 5 pm beginning on Sunday, January 23, 2022 for building maintenance.  A private contractor will stage a crane on S West Shore Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street to replace a cell tower component on the roof of the Urban Centre.  The work will be completed over two (2) separate Sundays.

On Sunday, January 23, 2022 and on Sunday, February 13, 2022, one (1) southbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W North B Street and W Kennedy Boulevard, two (2) southbound lanes on S West Shore Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street and one (1) westbound left turn lane on W Kennedy Boulevard at the intersection of S West Shore Boulevard will close at 6 am.

Four (4) southbound lanes on N West Shore Boulevard between W North B Street and W Kennedy Boulevard, one (1) southbound lane on S West Shore Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street and one (1) westbound left turn lane on W Kennedy Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk on the west side of S West Shore Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be available on the east side of S West Shore Boulevard at all times.

All lanes on West Shore Boulevard and W Kennedy Boulevard will open to traffic by 5 pm on January 23, 2022 and on February 13, 2022, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Southbound motorists can use Lois Avenue between W Cypress Street and W Azeele Street, in lieu of West Shore Boulevard.
