A portion of E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street will close at 7 am beginning on Saturday, September 11, 2021 for building maintenance. A private contractor will be staging a crane on E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street for cellphone tower replacement. The work will be completed over two (2) separate weekends.
E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street will close at 7 am on September 11, 2021. All lanes on E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street will be open to traffic by 5 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021, weather permitting.
Beginning on Saturday, September 25, 2021, E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street will close again at 7 am. All lanes on E Madison Street between N Florida Avenue and N Marion Street will be open to traffic by 5 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021, weather permitting.
Sidewalks within the work areas will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
