A portion of E Polk Street between N Tampa Street and N Ashley Drive will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be modifying a small wireless facility on the north side on E Polk Street between N Tampa Street and N Ashley Drive. The westbound lane on E Polk Street between N Tampa Street and N Ashley Drive will close at 9 am beginning on December 28, 2020.
The sidewalk in the construction area will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area via signage.
All lanes on E Polk Street between N Tampa Street and N Ashley Drive will reopen by 4 pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
