A portion of Henderson Boulevard between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, December 17, 2020 for utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be performing sewer maintenance in two phases on Henderson Boulevard between W Sunset Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue. In Phase 1, sewer lines will be cleaned. Phase 2 will be relining of the sewer lines. The northbound lane on Henderson Boulevard between W Sunset Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will close at 9 am on December 17, 2020.
Access to Henderson Boulevard from S Toronto Avenue will be prohibited at all times during construction.
It is anticipated that all lanes on Henderson Boulevard between W Sunset Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020, weather permitting.
Phase 2 will begin at a later date.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Northbound motorists can use S Manhattan Avenue between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and Henderson Boulevard, in lieu of Henderson Boulevard.
