Temporary Road Closure on N 22nd Street that began February 2nd 2021 for Utility Construction to be extended

A portion of N 22nd Street between E Fowler Avenue and E 109th Avenue that closed at 9 am beginning on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, for utility construction will be extended.  A city contractor will be installing a stormwater force main on N 22nd Street from E 111th Avenue (northern intersection) to E 111th Avenue (southern intersection).  N 22nd Street between E 113th Avenue and E 109th Avenue will close at 9 am on February 2, 2021.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N 22nd Street between E 113th Avenue and E 109th Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, March 26, 2021, weather permitting.    

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion

Northbound and southbound motorists can use N 30th Street or N 15th Street between E Fowler Avenue and E 109th Avenue, in lieu of N 22nd Street.
