Temporary Road/Lane Closures on Channelside Drive, S Morgan Street and Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit Ramp to begin March 21, 2021 for Road Construction

A portion of Channelside Drive between S Franklin Street and S Jefferson Street, S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway  Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will close for one (1) night on Sunday, March 21, 2021 for road construction.  A City of Tampa contractor will install pavement marking on Channelside Drive between S Morgan Street and S Jefferson Street.  

Two (2) lanes on Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, the southbound left turn lane on S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will close at 9 pm on March 21, 2021. 

One (1) lane on Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, one (1) southbound lane on S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6A Florida Avenue off ramp will be maintained during construction, with delays.

All lanes on Channelside Drive between S Franklin Street and S Jefferson Street, S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway  Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will be open to traffic by 5 am on Monday, March 22, 2021, weather permitting.    

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
