The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Since 1998, Dress For Success Tampa Bay has suited nearly 5,000 women

For more than 25 years, Katie McGill has provided unparalleled opportunity and resources to thousands of women in Tampa Bay.  We know her best as the driving force behind Dress for Success, Tampa Bay.  She initially served as a volunteer and then as the Executive Director, helping more than 30,000 women get back on their feet with a new outlook on life.  . Prior to joining Dress for Success, Katie spent nine years working with the Centre for Women, nine years volunteering with the Hillsborough County Women’s Correctional Facility, and 20 years volunteering with the Crisis Center of Tampa.  At each juncture, empowering women to accept personal responsibility and gain economic independence.  Her dedication has earned her numerous awards, including Black GIRLS Rock Tampa Bay in 2016, WEDU Be More Award 2015, the Jackie Robinson Breaking Barriers from the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero.
