The City is featuring small businesses on its Shop Small Tampa directory to encourage support for local businesses on Small Business Saturday, which takes place on November 25, 2023. Participating businesses that are located within Tampa city limits will have an opportunity to appear in the Shop Small Tampa directory and the City's social media promotions.
Shop Small Tampa is one of the ways the City is working to uplift and strengthen relationships with local businesses through its Bridges to Business initiative.
Small Business Saturday takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving. American Express created this day of shopping to promote and support small businesses throughout the United States. Small Business Saturday not only seeks participation from small businesses to help promote them, it also encourages residents to "shop local" and "shop small."
