For over 130 years, the Tampa Water Department has delivered safe, clean water to homes and businesses in our community. Today, we serve over 720,000 people who live, work, and play in Tampa and parts of unincorporated Hillsborough County, across a 220-square mile service area.

In this Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) workshop, you will learn how to face the changes and challenges in your Florida landscape, including:
- Proper pruning for best plant performance
- How to keep your Florida soil healthy and productive
- Efficient watering techniques for your veggie patch
- Keystone plants that attract pollinators and butterflies to your yard
Open to City of Tampa and Hillsborough County residents and employees only. Registration per attendee is required.
Cost: $10 per person for lunch (non-refundable)

What We Do
Delivering safe, clean drinking water to the people of Tampa 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year takes the combined effort of over 300 highly trained specialists.
From scientists, water treatment operators, mechanics, technicians, planners, and engineers to customer service reps, billing specialists, water conservation specialists, and more, we work hard to make sure that you always have access to safe, smart, and sustainable water.

Ensuring Water Quality
Tampa’s water is safe to drink because of our robust water treatment and water quality testing process. Our dedicated team of water treatment operators, scientists, lab technicians and field quality technicians are committed to ensuring that you have clean water every time you turn on the tap.

Promoting Water Conservation
Water is a precious resource. Our water conservation team offer a variety of water-saving programs and rebates to encourage residents and businesses to save money by saving water.

Maintaining our Infrastructure
We maintain over 2,200 miles of pipes over a 220-square-mile service area, delivering water 24/7 to over 720,000 people. We also maintain fire hydrants, water towers, re-pump stations, and much more.
