Class Descriptions

Basic iPhone Classe

This iPhone basic course covers the fundamentals of operating an iPhone. It is intended for beginners who have little iPhone experience. Students will learn about the home screen, status bar icons, using gestures, searching on your device, and using the keyboard. Students also will learn how to use dictation, multitasking features, and accessing the control center. Students will explore making calls and writing/dictating text messages.

Chair Yoga

A chair workout with some standing exercise that focuses on flexibility, balance, and posture. Routine will help develop coordination and strong core. Includes relaxation techniques. Appropriate for all ages and levels of fitness.

Circuit Training

Circuit training is a time-efficient, high-intensity workout method that rotates through 5-15 strength or cardio exercises targeting different muscle groups, with a rest (0–60 seconds) in between.

Conditioning

Body conditioning exercises target your whole body, using many different muscles to strengthen, shape, and tone. Several types of exercise, such as flexibility, strength, and resistance training, may be combined. Plus, it’s a great way to reduce stress and make new friends.

HIIT

High-intensity-training involves short bursts of intense, high-effort exercise (30–60 seconds), alternating with periods of low-intensity recovery. It is a time-efficient, adaptable workout (35–45 mins), designed to improve balance and cognitive function, and reduce rigidity and stiffness, by increasing heart rate and dopamine production.

Line Dancing

A line dance is a choreographed dance in which a group of people dance along to a repeating sequence of steps while arranged in one or more lines or rows. These lines usually face all in the same direction, or less commonly face each other. Line dancing is a great way to reduce stress, dance and make new friends!

Pickleball

Pickleball is a racket sport in which two or four players use a smooth-faced paddle to hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball over a 34-inch-high (0.86 m) net, until one side is unable to return the ball or commits a rule infraction. It's very easy to start playing and having fun.

Strength Training

Strength training is any exercise that makes your muscles push back on an external force. You can even use your own body weight to build strength, muscle, and endurance. Strength exercises may help joints stay flexible and reduce symptoms of arthritis. This can help prevent injuries from falls.

Urban Line Dancing

Urban line dancing encompasses intermediate and advanced levels of choreographed dances to R&B, rap, and other urban music from all over the world. It is a great form of cardio exercise that can easily be adjusted to fit the individual’s level of comfort.

8-Ball Billards

8-Ball is a called-shot game played with a cue ball and 15 numbered object balls (solids 1-7, stripes 9-15). Players are assigned a group after the break, aiming to pocket all seven of their balls, then legally sink the 8-ball to win.

9-Ball Billards

9-Ball is a fast-paced, rotation-based pool game played with a cue ball and object balls numbered 1-9, aiming to legally pocket the 9-ball to win. Players must strike the lowest-numbered ball on the table first, but balls can be pocketed in any order. Sinking the 9-ball at any point, often via a combination, wins the game.
