Purpose:
The City of Tampa Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) was accepted as the Strategic Plan for the management of Tampa’s Urban Forest in November 2013. To ensure continued progress and implementation of UFMP, a Natural Resource Advisory Committee (NRAC) is called for, consisting of a balanced representation of members from a variety of government, business, and neighborhood interests. The purpose is to address issues to promote government efficiency by annually reviewing the Urban Forest Management Plan audit and making recommendations on the alternatives for action to be addressed to the Planning Department.
The Natural Resources Advisory Committee is comprised of a variety of government, business and neighborhood interests. Members of the Committee represent a range of backgrounds and perspectives, including certified arborists, developers, neighborhoods and economic development organizations.
