Purpose:
In 2020, the City of Tampa was awarded $75,000 grant from the Florida Resilient Coastlines Program (FRCP) to study the impacts of sealevel rise on our community and identify key recommendations for resilience planning. With the grant, the City Planning Department will complete an analysis of current land use, zoning, and building regulations and recommend strategies to prepare for projected sea-level rise impacts.
Key Findings:
he Sea Level Rise Grant report presents key recommendations based on its findings. Although sea-level rise is associated with a long and incremental process of change, deferring action will make future decision-making and adaptation more difficult. The recommendations within the document provide a detailed description with next steps.
