This awards was created in honor of Dr. Anh-Kay Pizano and recognizes rising stars under the age of 40 in the Latino community that exhibit Dr. Pizano's most treasured characteristics and values such as commitment to higher education for Latinos, leadership, collaboration, service to others, and perseverance. The individual nominated shows clear evidence of the tremendous promise to be a changemaker and an innovator.
Established in 2023 with Suncoast Credit Union as its initial Presenting Sponsor, this award was founded to honor her legacy and to raise funds to support Latino students in graduate and professional programs at the University of South Florida.
The recipient of the award will be announced and recognized at the Annual Latinos Unidos Luncheon.
