Members of the public may participate in the Tampa City Council meetings by either attending in person in the City Council Chambers, Old City Hall, 315 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602 or “virtually” through video teleconferencing, referred to by Florida Statutes and rules as “communications media technology” (“CMT”).

 

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY IN A PUBLIC HEARING ON A QUASI-JUDICIAL OR LEGISLATIVE MATTER. In order to participate via CMT you must have access to a communications media device (such as a tablet or a computer equipped with a camera and microphone) that will enable you to be seen (video) and heard (audio) by the City Council and all other participants. For these specific two-way video virtual meeting formats, cell phones and smartphones are not compatible as they will not allow you to share your camera when connected.

Persons in need of assistance or having questions regarding means of public participation should call the Office of the City Clerk at 813-274-8397 for assistance.

 

Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the Tampa City Council with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).

 

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing a reasonable accommodation to participate in this public hearing or meeting should contact the City of Tampa’s ADA Coordinator at least 48 hours prior to the proceeding.
