Public comments will be heard at the start of the meeting at the direction of the Chair of the Citizen Review Board.

All written or voicemail comments must be received no later than 5:00 PM, Monday, May 27, 2024, in order to be made part of the official record of the meeting.


Written comments may not exceed 400 words, and voicemail comments may not exceed 3 minutes in length. Recorded and live public comment will be heard at the start of the meeting. Written comments received by mail or email will be distributed to the Citizen Review Board and will also be included in the permanent record of the meeting. All public comments timely received will be afforded equal consideration as if the public comments were made in person. Persons requiring help in accessing this means of public participation should call 813-274-8131 for assistance.

The Policies and Procedures of the Citizen Review Board states that members of the public addressing the Citizen Review Board will identify themselves by full name and address. Comments are limited to matters related to the Tampa Police Department. Comments should not be made regarding ongoing Professional Standards investigations. Comments shall not be directed to any individual member of the Board. The Chair is responsible for maintaining appropriate decorum and any comments which are determined to be inappropriate will be received but may not be broadcast.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing a reasonable accommodation to participate in this public hearing or meeting should contact the City of Tampa’s ADA Coordinator at least 48 hours prior to the proceeding. Any person who decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at this public hearing or meeting are advised, in accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, that they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose may need to hire a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
