It’s time again for the 2024 Fish Grits & Black History V fundraiser for the Dr. Walter L. Smith Library & Museum!  905 N. Albany Ave.  from 9am-3pm.  

We will be having our morning African village call followed by our three panel discussions while everyone feasts on one of the best known cultural dishes in the African American community, fish and grits.

This years topics are: What Does the African Union Mean to the Diaspora; Losing our Communities/Losing our History; Our Environmental Health.

We will meet our local authors and black bookstore owners in Tampa Bay.

We will be having fun, intelligent conversation and fun while we support our community educational resource and gathering place, the Dr. Walter L. Smith Library & Museum.
