NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALL PUBLIC MEETING

The purpose of this special call public meeting is to solicit citizen comment and to adopt a list of specific projects to be funded by the City’s share of the renewal of the half-cent (0.5%) local government infrastructure surtax for community investment, known locally as the Community Investment Tax or CIT (if approved by the electorate of the County) and to approve an interlocal agreement related thereto, at which hearing all citizens and interested parties may appear and be heard as to any and all matters pertinent to the List of City Projects.

 

The public and citizens of the City of Tampa will be able to watch, listen or view this meeting on:

Members of the public can attend in person in City Council chambers in Old City Hall or virtually participate in this public meeting by using what is referred to by State of Florida statutes and rules as “communications media technology” (“CMT”).

 

PUBLIC COMMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE SUBJECT OF THE SPECIAL CALL MEETING. MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY EACH ADDRESS CITY COUNCIL FOR 
3 MINUTES DURING THE PUBLIC HEARING.

 

TO SPEAK DURING THE PUBLIC HEARING REMOTELY WITH THE USE OF CMT, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED:

Complete the form at https://www.tampa.gov/PublicComment AND state on the form under “Request Type” that you wish to speak live during the public hearing period. You will then be contacted with additional instructions on how to participate live through the use of CMT. Registration for speaking remotely must be requested at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

 

Persons requiring help in accessing these means of public participation should call 813-274-8397 for assistance.

Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the Tampa City Council with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing a reasonable accommodation to participate in this public hearing or meeting should contact the City of Tampa’s ADA Coordinator at least 48 hours prior to the proceeding.
