Take flight through time and discover the rich history of aviation in Tampa Bay. This special exhibition features a distinctive collection of archival materials celebrating the airports that have connected our region to the world. Guests will have the opportunity to view original artist concept drawings of Tampa International Airport’s Main Terminal, archival film footage from the Airport’s early days, and historic photographs capturing decades of aviation innovation and progress. This year’s expanded exhibit goes beyond Tampa International Airport to highlight the stories of Peter O. Knight Airport, Tampa Executive Airport, and Plant City Airport, showcasing the people, aircraft, and moments that helped shape Tampa Bay’s aviation legacy. The event will also include a special screening of the newly released documentary America 250: A Portrait of Florida, which explores the Tampa Bay area’s contributions to our nation’s story, including its role as the birthplace of commercial aviation.
