The Tampa Museum of Art hosts a special evening celebrating the first exhibition in Tampa dedicated to the art and artifacts of ancient Egypt, Mysteries of the Nile: Ancient Egypt.
Step back in time and join us for captivating performances, light bites from local Egyptian favorites, a cash bar*, and a presentation on the exhibition with Branko van Oppen, Richard E. Perry Curator of Greek and Roman Art. Doors open at 6:00 pm, the presentation will be held at 6:30 pm in the Morsani Atrium.
Ancient Egypt remains renowned to this day for its religious beliefs, complex society, monumental architecture, and enduring arts and culture. The gallery display explores themes related to the power of pharaohs, the worship of gods, aspects of daily life, and beliefs about the afterlife — offering insight into this mysterious civilization along the Nile.
Your participation in this celebration directly supports the Mysteries of the Nile exhibition and the associated educational programs at the Tampa Museum of Art, helping to foster a vibrant art community.
