This 4-hour workshop is limited to very small groups, with personal attention for each attendee. The course is designed to provide the students with a sound knowledge of how to operate their cameras for both solid technical results, as well as creative applications. This class is based on multiple lecture presentations, extensive hands-on applications, and one-on-one support.

The topics covered in this workshop include:

Camera and lens basics, F-Stops, shutter speeds, ISO, focal lengths

Automatic versus manual captures, RAW versus JPG

Understanding histograms, correct exposures in varied conditions

Color temperature, white balance

Focus points, depth of field, including for creative purposes

Drive modes; from single images to high-speed multiple captures

Freezing action or capturing movement

Basic composition principles and creative approaches

Basic photo editing in Photoshop

Student requirements: Camera and lens (or multiple lenses), fully charged battery, media card, camera manual, and tripod if available.

A chance to binge on the performing arts. All shows are an hour or less, with theatre, burlesque, comedy, storytelling, opera, improv, kids shows, and more. With low prices and shows frequently starting, you could cram in up to SEVEN shows on a Saturday.

We offer 7 convenient locations to choose from throughout Hillsborough County.

Back to School Bash

Join us for the annual Back to School Bash at Westfield Brandon Town Center on July 31st from 11am to 4pm. Free event and open to the public.
We will have kids activities, local family services, an interactive scavenger hunt, sports mascots, performers, and a large business expo with dozens of businesses offering services for after school programs, clubs, tutoring, healthcare, and so much more.
The first 250 families to register their children online will have guaranteed access to the Interactive Scavenger Hunt to collect dozens of free school supplies from all the local businesses, and collect a free backpack once the Scavenger Hunt is completed.
There is no limit on number of backpacks per family, but each child must be present at the event to collect free school supplies and backpacks.
Pre-Registration for families will be open on June 16th. Please RSVP by clicking interested/going on this event page to get all the latest announcements and news for each location.

East Coast Migrant Head Start Project National Conference Graphic

ECMHSP is working with our funding agency on the details of the event. ECMHSP must comply with federal restrictions on the expenditure of federal funds, including ensuring we comply with federal lodging rates of reimbursement. Approximately 40% of attendees will travel from Florida; the other 60% are domestic travelers. USA Gymnastics Championships, National Congress & Trade Show Graphic

This event will host junior and senior athletes in Men’s and Women’s Artistic gymnastics.
