Mayor's Neighborhood University Saturday Session | Moving with Mobility

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes to keep Tampa moving?

Join us for a special Mayor’s Neighborhood University Saturday Session and get an inside look at how Tampa plans, manages and improves the ways people move throughout the city. This morning of fun and education takes place on Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Traffic Management Center, located at 1104 East Twiggs Street.

We’ll kick things off inside the Traffic Management Center, where you’ll learn how the City monitors and manages traffic in real time. From there, explore how Tampa is working to make streets safer through Vision Zero and Safe Routes to Places, and get a closer look at how transportation projects move from an idea to planning, design and funding.

Then, we’re taking the classroom to the streets! The morning wraps up with a Tampa Streetcar walking tour and ride to Ybor City, where you’ll learn about the Streetcar’s history and what’s planned for its future.

The Mayor’s Neighborhood University Saturday Session program is an initiative of the City of Tampa Community Engagement and Partnerships Department that empowers more residents to connect directly with City leaders, learn about vital resources, and become active participants in shaping Tampa’s future.
