Notice of Process Change ¶
Since 2022, all pension board elections conducted by the Fund have utilized virtual ballots via MemberDirect. This approach has allowed for secure, efficient, and timely elections and will continue to be the primary voting method going forward.
Beginning with 2026 elections, mail-in ballots will no longer be automatically mailed to each eligible voter. If you prefer to cast a ballot by mail, you must request a mail-in ballot for each election. The pension office is unable to accommodate standing requests for mail-in ballots. This change is intended to ensure accurate, timely distribution of ballots and reduce mailings and associated costs.
Instructions for requesting a mail-in ballot, including applicable deadlines, will be provided in advance of each election on the Notice of Election. All eligible voters will continue to have full access to the voting process through the virtual ballot system. Additionally, in-person voting will continue to be available in the pension office on Election Day.
If you have any questions regarding MemberDirect, voting methods, or the mail-in ballot request process, please contact the pension office at 813-274-8550 or email fppension@tampagov.net.
