Going With Grace

LiveLung, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Tampa area lung cancer community to its monthly support and educational meeting on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at Holiday Inn Tampa North, 3751 E Fowler Ave, Tampa, and includes a delicious complimentary lunch.

Allissa Hopkins ispresenting, “Going with Grace.” Hopkins is a certified death doula with the Florida End-of-Life Alliance. A death doula provides nonmedical emotional, spiritual, and practical support to people who are nearing the end of life and to their families. Someone like Hopkins fills the gaps that medical care doesn’t cover, like sitting with someone during their final hours, helping them create meaningful projects to leave behind, guiding families through grief, and simply being a consistent, calm presence during one of life’s most difficult transitions.

Florida End-of-Life Doula Alliance is a statewide non-profit that helps doulas support, empower, educate, and serve our communities.

LiveLung’s educational meetings provide valuable resources and opportunities for lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners to learn, network, and build community. Each meeting features an expert guest speaker who shares insights to empower attendees with knowledge and support.
