The City of Tampa is engaging in a streets improvement project in the West Riverside Heights neighborhood as part of the Tampa M.O.V.E.S. initiative.  The study area is generally bounded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd (north), N. Armenia Ave. (west), W. Tampa Bay Blvd (south), and Hillsborough River / N. River View Ave (east).  
The purpose of the project is to provide mobility choices, connect people to jobs and economic opportunities, create a healthy, sustainable, and resilient future, remove barriers and improve transportation for people who need it most, and increase public safety.  Additionally, this project will review stormwater drainage, roadway resurfacing, traffic calming, and pedestrian and bicycle accessibility.  This includes topics such as stormwater drainage, roadway surfacing, traffic calming and improved pedestrian and bicycle accessibility.

  2. February 2nd Public Input Open House
    Franciscan Center, 3010 N Perry Avenue, Tampa, FL  (6 pm-8 pm)
    Please mark your calendar for an introductory Kick-Off meeting for the West Riverside Heights street infrastructure improvement project.  This meeting will be held at the Franciscan Center in an open house format with ‘stations’ that will allow individual input. Parking is available on-site.

  3. February 4th Public Walking Tour
    Intersection of W. St. Isabella Street and N. Albany Avenue. (10am-Noon)
    Please join us for a neighborhood walking tour on Saturday morning, February 4th.  We will meet at this intersection beginning at 10 am. The walking tour will circulate a 1.5 mile loop. We will walk a roughly 1.5-mile loop, listening and learning directly from you about key neighborhood features and important neighborhood concerns.  Safety vests, water, and comment maps will be provided on this guided walk.  Please dress comfortably, and bring your smartphone/camera!
