Description
This project provides for the rehabilitation of Digester No. 7 at the Howard F. Curren AWTP. The project will include replacement of digester cover, replacement of the sludge recirculation pumps, transfer pumps, mixing system, piping, valves, concrete coatings, and the installation of new electrical and control systems.
Community Benefits
The treatment plant project will restore the plant’s reliability by replacing aging equipment and will include improvements to reduce vulnerability to extreme weather events and sea level rise. The project will also enhance the treatment plant processes with modern technology which will increase the plant’s treatment and operating efficiency.
