Description
This project provides for Sludge Digestion System improvements at the Howard F. Curren AWTP. The project will include construction of two (2) 2.4M gallon gas holding anaerobic digesters, new digester heating and mixing systems, new control building, and the installation of related electrical and control systems.
Community Benefits
The treatment plant project will restore the plant’s reliability by replacing aging equipment and will include improvements to reduce vulnerability to extreme weather events and sea level rise. The project will also enhance the treatment plant processes with modern technology which will increase the plant’s treatment and operating efficiency.
