On Monday, March 4, Phase 1 of the Harbour Island Force Main Replacement Project at Franklin and Water Streets will be completed and Phase 2 will begin.
Phase 2 will require the closure of Franklin Street, north of Water Street. Northbound traffic on Franklin Street will be detoured to Water Street and then to Florida Avenue. Southbound traffic on Franklin Street will be detoured at Channelside Drive to Florida Avenue, then west along Water Street. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Closed road segments are scheduled to be reopened by May 15, 2024.
