Beginning at 9am today, the outside westbound lane on East 21st Avenue will be closed between North 10th Street and North 12th Street while the Tampa Water Department conducts maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm each day and then close again the following morning at 9am to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Tuesday, September 10. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
