Accessibility Remediation of Electronic Documents
Electronic documents may be remediated to improve accessibility without changing their substantive content. Accessibility remediation may include changes to document tags, reading order, headings, bookmarks, alternate text, table structure, metadata, and other accessibility-related elements.
Accessibility remediation does not authorize changes to the substantive content, meaning, data, or information contained in the original document. These unique records are subject to retention requirements and will be maintained in accordance with applicable City and State records retention requirements. When required, the originally published document and/or its accessible version will be retained in accordance with those requirements.
