Bike Routes

The City of Tampa is working to build a low-stress bicycle network made up of separated and low-stress bike lanes, multi-use paths, and neighborhood greenways.   Check out our interactive map for information on the locations and types of bicycle facilities within City limits:   

Bike Routes Map

This application is used to track progress and show the public where the best routes are. Lower stress routes are shown in green and higher stress ones in red. Currently, the city has the following existing bicycle facilities:

  • 21 miles of Separated and Low Stress Bike Lanes
  • 92 miles of Multi-Use Paths and Trails
  • 8 miles of Neighborhood Greenways
  • 83 miles of High Stress Bike Lanes
Notes: The values above are centerline miles to avoid double-counting of bike lanes. The categories were derived from the Federal Highway Administration ( FHWA) Bikeway Selection Guide, and a low-stress designation was given if it met the criteria found in Figure 9.
