Description
This project provides for the design, acquisition, and construction of a 10 acre park complete with a renovated and expanded Community Center with a new Senior Center.
The City of Tampa is combining the current Fair Oaks Community Center, Herbert D. Carrington Sr. Community Lake, and several recently acquired adjacent properties to create a 10.2-acre East Tampa Recreation Complex . The goal is to expand on the services and activities at the current Fair Oaks Community Center through adding a dedicated space for our active older adult residents. Additional recreational activities such as dance and improvements including a full-size gymnasium are planned for the new recreation center.
