Primary Details
Description
The project will construct a permanent stormwater pump station to address persistent flooding at the intersection of Lantana Avenue and Poinsettia Avenue, where a temporary pump is currently used to drain the low‑lying area. The project includes property acquisition and installation of a new stormwater collection system, along with a new pump station and force main that will connect to the existing drainage system on North 11th Street. The new station will be remotely monitored and controlled through the City’s SCADA system, improving long‑term reliability and flood mitigation for the surrounding neighborhood.
Currently a temporary pump is utilized to drain the low-lying area along E Poinsettia Avenue between N Brooks Street and N Lantana Avenue. The proposed project will replace the temporary pump with a permanent pumping station.
