2021 Community Values Survey

The City of Tampa conducted a statistically valid survey to obtain results that are reflective of the diverse demographics of the City and its various communities.

We surveyed a total of 1,300 residents from July 9 through August 21, 2021. This survey has a margin of error: ±2.71% at a 95% confidence level using both landlines and cellphones.

93% of residents have expressed trust in the City of Tampa Government, an increase of 4% from the year prior.

95% recommend Tampa as a place to live.
90% recommend Tampa as a place to open a business, up 13% from last year.

Traffic flow, quality roads, and affordable housing are the top three issues for residents.

Homeowners in the City have similar priorities to those in unincorporated Hillsborough County, prioritizing housing size and affordability over commutes.
