Doyle Carlton Dr & Laurel St Intersection Improvements Transportation P2: Design 30% Design Completion 5 $575000.00 2027 Multiple Funding This project will improve pedestrian, bicycle, and motor vehicle safety and connectivity in the City’s vibrant Downtown River Arts neighborhood. The current intersection at Doyle Carlton Drive and Laurel Street was designed in the 1960s mainly for motor vehicle traffic. This outdated design conflicts with City goals to have complete streets that are safe for all types of users.
This project will remove the slip lanes on all approaches to tighten up the four way stop intersection. It will also include new sidewalk connections and curb ramps for the surrounding areas to access the riverwalk easier and more safely.
Manhattan : Obispo to Bay to Bay Flooding Relief-Phase 2 Stormwater Engineering P1: Planning Planning 4 $3000000.00 On Hold Stormwater Improvement Fee This project consists of design and construction of a new drainage conveyance system as well as the replacement and upsizing of the existing drainage conveyance system in a residential neighborhood in the City of Tampa. During normal rain events the area experiences street flooding due to an old and undersized drainage system. This project is located along Manhattan Avenue tying into the Emerson Ditch at 3111 Manhattan and runs north to Bay to Bay. This project will also consist of new watermain upgrades along the corridor.
East Tampa Recreational Complex Parks & Recreation P4: Construction Construction in Progress 5 $34686537.00 2024 Multiple Funding This project provides for the design, acquisition, and construction of a 10 acre park complete with a renovated and expanded Community Center with a new Senior Center.

The top-priority sidewalk gaps throughout the City that will be constructed under this project are, Phase 1: E. It will also improve our ability to serve a growing population. Approximately 21,205 Linear Feet of water mains ranging from 2 to 12 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Sherwood Heights PS FM Relocation Wastewater P2: Design 90% Design Completion 7 $250000.00 2026 PIPES This project provides for the replacement of the force main that serves the Sherwood Heights Pumping Station. Proposed 2,350 feet of 8” force main on 26th St between 111th and 109th Avenues and 25th Street between 109th Avenue and Bougainvillea.

Lamb Canal Rehabilitation & Flood Relief Stormwater Engineering P1: Planning Planning 4 $25000.00 On Hold Stormwater Improvement Fee The Lamb Canal has experienced significant erosion over the years and is in need of rehabilitation. Embankment deterioration has reduced the canal’s capacity and increased the risk of further erosion.This project will remove accumulated sediment and stabilize the canal banks in targeted areas to prevent future erosion and help restore capacity. A future phase may include replacing and upsizing the drainage pipes at W. Bay to Bay Boulevard and S. Manhattan Avenue to help alleviate frequent nuisance flooding at the intersection.

N 24th Street (Hanna Ave to Sligh Ave) Transportation P2: Design 60% Design Completion 5 $400000.00 2027 Multiple Funding This project provides for design and construction of capacity and multimodal improvements along the E Hanna Ave corridor from N 22nd St to N 30th Sr., along the 24th St from Hanna Ave to Sligh Ave, and at the intersection of Sligh Ave and 30th St. The project includes the following proposed improvements: 1. Hanna Avenue – 22nd Street to 30th Street: • Roadway milling and resurfacing. • Westbound Left Turn Lane into the new City Center at 2515 Hanna Ave. • Intersection improvements at the intersection of Hanna Ave at N 22nd St and Hanna Ave at N 30th St 2. 24th Street – Hanna Avenue to Sligh Avenue • Sidewalk along the west side of 24th St • All Way Stop Signs at “T” intersection along 24th St 3. Intersection at the Sligh Avenue and 30th Street • New Traffic Signal • Northbound Left-Turn Lane.
Southeast Seminole Heights (GMP 2) Water P5: Closeout Closeout 6 $8688167.00 2021 PIPES The Southeast Seminole Heights project will improve the City of Tampa’s water distribution system by replacing the existing water mains and increasing the capacity of the system. It will also improve our ability to serve a growing population. Approximately 24,733 Linear Feet of water mains ranging from 2 to 24 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Lower Peninsula Watershed Plan - Southeast Region Stormwater Engineering P4: Construction Construction in Progress 4 $55604452.00 2023 Stormwater Improvement Fee This project provides for a study, modeling and construction of this regional watershed to address chronic flooding for the 6,000 acre area. Project alternatives will be analyzed for capital improvements.
D. L. Tippin Chemical System Improvements Water P4: Construction Construction in Progress 5 $41057978.00 2021 PIPES The Chemical System Improvements project will optimize facility performance capabilities, improve water quality and expand our water treatment capacity. This project will rehabilitate and replace existing infrastructure and eliminate deteriorating facilities and equipment to increase operational and maintenance efficiency. New infrastructure upgrades will increase our capacity to produce drinking water and we will also add new back-up systems to strengthen our resiliency when faced with a natural disaster or other emergency. New treatment processes will also be explored to achieve the twin goals of enhancing the taste and odor of our drinking water while reducing the use of water treatment chemicals.
