What is the Equivalency of Training (EOT)?

The EOT program exempts police officer candidates from completing the full basic recruit academy.  EOT qualifies candidates to demonstrate proficiency as an experienced police officer in four high-liability areas (Firearms, First Aid, Defensive Tactics, and Driving).  EOT candidates are eligible to take the Florida State Officer Certification Examination (SOCE).

Learn more at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Page.
