Each District is partitioned into Sectors and then further classified by Zones and Grids. This information is used to determine how calls for police service are routed and field units patrol areas.
In Sector B, northern borders vary from Kennedy Blvd to I275, east through the Hillsborough River, and south to MacDill Air Force Base. There are natural boundaries, the Tampa Bay to the west from MCD AFB to Kennedy Blvd, as well as the Hillsborough Bay along Bayshore on the east up through Davis Islands and downtown.
