Attention: New once-a-week water restrictions

Your watering day may have changed!

This 20-minute virtual workshop will tell you all you need to know about the once-a-week watering restrictions that start December 1, 2023. Attendees will receive a FREE outdoor water conservation kit after attending the workshop (available to Tampa Water Department customers only)

Interested in having a Tampa Water Department expert speak at your business, HOA or community meeting, organization, or event? 

A minimum group size of 10 people is required to request a speaker from the Tampa Water Department.

Topics that we currently cover in our presentations include:

  • Checking for indoor leaks
  • Water use restrictions & enforcement
  • Water wise irrigation series, including Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM 
  • Tips to reduce your utility bill

Triple Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM workshops

Held monthly from February through November

In partnership with the University of Florida Institute of Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS)

Composting, micro-irrigation, and rainwater harvesting workshops are regularly held online or at the UF/IFAS Hillsborough County Extension Conference Center located at 5339 County Rd 579, Seffner, FL 33584.

The Tampa Water Department is proud to fund the composting kits, the micro-irrigation kits, and the 45 to 55-gallon rain barrels distributed to Tampa Water Department customers who attend these workshops.

The cost for this triple workshop is $5.00 per workshop per household (nonrefundable). Registration is required.
