The City Center at Hanna Avenue
In January 2022, the City of Tampa broke ground on the City Center at Hanna Ave. (2515 East Hanna Avenue). The 161,000 sq. ft. building and adjacent greenspace known as “Hanna Square” will serve as a gathering space for neighborhood residents while housing City departments. This project promises to increase efficiencies across City operations, bring government closer to the people, and represent a brighter future for all of Tampa. The City Center is expected to open in late summer 2023.

Hanna Avenue Mobility Improvements
The City of Tampa has kicked off the design for the Hanna Avenue Mobility Improvements – a series of projects that is intended to reduce or avoid transportation impacts due to the new City Center at Hanna Avenue.
These upcoming projects will provide improved safety for bicyclists and pedestrians, maintain or improve vehicular operations, and add street lighting along area roadways.
The design team recently received a Notice to Proceed in April 2023. The team is currently developing conceptual layouts of the various improvements that have been identified thanks to the feedback community members shared throughout the City Center at Hanna Avenue design-build process.
The City along with the engineering firm Alfka are hosting a public meeting on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6pm-7:30pm at the Rogers Park Golf Course Clubhouse. During the meeting, the team will share the planned improvements and project schedule and gather additional input from the community.
