Just before 10 PM on Sunday evening, January 9, 2022, Shot Spotter technology detected the sound of multiple gunshots in the area of 19th Street and 28th Avenue, prompting Tampa Police officers to respond to the scene.
Office located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made as of yet.
