Tampa Police Working to Identify Stabbing Suspect

TAMPA, Fla.- The Tampa Police Department is actively working to identify the suspect seen in a video related to a stabbing incident that took place on March 4, 2024, on the 1500 block of East 8th Avenue. The victim in this case, an adult male, was treated and released from the hospital for what were thankfully non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined that the victim in this case was experiencing homelessness. In response, officers assigned to patrol as well as those assigned as homeless affairs liaisons have increased their proactive work with the homeless in an effort to generate possible leads in this case and also remind those in need of available resources.

The Tampa Police Department works in partnership with a variety of organizations to assist those who are homeless. If you know someone in need, the following resources are available:
