Tampa Trash Collection Schedule Revised In Observance of Independence Day

The City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in observance of Independence Day.

The revised collection schedule is as follows:

  • Residential Customers who normally receive service on Thursday will not receive garbage, recycling, or yard waste service. There will be no make-up day for Thursday customers. Trash collection will occur on the next scheduled service day. Regular residential collection service schedules will resume on Friday, July 5, 2024.
  • Commercial Customers who normally receive service on Thursday will not receive collection on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Commercial customers will resume collection on Friday, July 5, 2024, with a one-day delay through Saturday, July 6, 2024. Regular collection service schedules will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.
  • McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House located at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Independence Day (Thursday, July 4, 2024) and will reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Friday, July 5, 2024, between the temporary hours of 8 am to noon.
