Celebrate the Fourth on the Riverwalk

This Fourth of July, the City of Tampa encourages residents and visitors to enjoy Independence Day along the Tampa Riverwalk, where fireworks, live entertainment, and waterfront festivities will once again light up the night thanks to community partners.

This year, Boom by the Bay continues as the umbrella for a series of neighborhood and partner-led celebrations taking place across Tampa. The city is proud to support these community-driven events, which highlight the unique spirit of each neighborhood as residents come together to celebrate Independence Day. Events like The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works, Star Spangled Sparkman Wharf, and the Friends of the Riverwalk July 4th Boat Parade: Salute to the Red, White, and Blue offer family-friendly ways to enjoy the holiday while exploring Tampa’s waterfront and supporting small businesses along the way.

While vendors and activities will not be in Julian B. Lane Park as in 2024, the Riverwalk remains open and free to the public, offering countless spots to take in the festivities and fireworks with stunning views of the Hillsborough River and Tampa skyline.

City departments are working closely with event organizers to help coordinate public safety, traffic flow, and logistics, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Attendees are also encouraged to take advantage of public transportation options, including the free TECO Line Streetcar, as well as DASH Tampa, other ridesharing services, bike, and scooter-friendly paths.
