TAMPA, FL. (August 27, 2025) – On August 27, 2025, the Tampa Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested 18-year-old Amari Stubbs (black male 1/01/2007) for charges related to inappropriate conduct with two female juvenile victims between the ages of 12-15.
The investigation found that in the latter half of June of this year, Stubbs began communicating with one of the victims through social media after meeting them at Jackson Heights summer camp. The victim reported that during social media conversations, Stubbs asked for nude photos and requested sexual activity.
During the course of the investigation, detectives also received information about a separate incident involving a juvenile female victim who accused Stubbs of inappropriately touching her while at summer camp last month.
Stubbs was immediately terminated from his internship with the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department when the allegations were reported.
Stubbs is charged with One Felony Count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation Defendant Over 18 Victim 12-15 and One Felony Count of Use of Computer Services or Devices to Solicit Certain Illegal Acts.
At this time, investigators do not believe there are additional victims. However, anyone who believes they may have been victimized is encouraged to contact the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.
